Our History

Back in 1974, the visionary entrepreneur Late Mohammad Showkat Hossain (Died in 2016) embarked on a remarkable journey by establishing a small company and introducing Dhamrai Filling Station, a refueling gasoline station located in the calm town of Dhamrai, just 40 km away from the bustling city of Dhaka. Driven by his long-term vision for the industrial engineering business, he laid the foundation for a venture that would ultimately thrive under the guidance and collaboration of his three sons, who now serve as key figures in the flourishing Global Cynax Company.

In 1999, the baton was passed to Mr. Mohammad Arif Hossain, the eldest son, who assumed control of the business following his graduation. Mr. Arif Hossain, armed with a fresh perspective, meticulously restructured the company’s business strategy and set forth the implementation of innovative policies to bring the founder’s vision to materialization. Within a mere three years, the company embarked on its first project of business diversification planning—an ambitious endeavor that resulted in the establishment of Dhamrai CNG Filling Station, a pioneering CNG (Compressed Natural Gas) refueling station equipped with state-of-the-art Swiss compressors from Burckhardt.

In 2007, Mr. Mohammad Sharif Hossain, a son of the visionary founder, achieved a notable milestone by establishing Global Cynax Bangladesh Ltd., a distinct company aimed at entering the IT business through a partnership with a Singapore-based company. However, this venture faced challenges due to the lack of recognition that Bangladesh had not yet attained as an IT service provider during that period. Consequently, within a year and a half, Mr. Sharif Hossain and his company merged with the family business, making a strategic shift back to their core expertise in industrial and refueling engineering products. From that moment forward, Global Cynax assumed responsibility for monitoring and operating all business activities.

Over the following decade, the unwavering dedication and relentless hard work of the company yielded dramatic business expansion, particularly in several major engineering sectors. These included the supply and distribution of a wide range of essential products such as air compressors, CNG compressors, bearings, boilers, heat exchangers, fuel dispensers, and lubrication systems. By forging partnerships with world-renowned brands and offering an array of related industrial products, Global Cynax managed to secure a dominant presence across numerous crucial business sectors. These encompassed industries ranging from textile, cement, and steel to pharmaceuticals, food and beverage, jute mills, power plants, chemicals, pulp and paper, paints, plastics, grain processing, and poultry and cattle feed mills, among many others.

As of 2025, Global Cynax has established a robust presence in Bangladesh with three strategically located offices and one facility unit. The central offices in Dhaka act as the operational hub, while the facility in Dhamrai, approximately 40 kilometers from the capital, supports various business activities. Additionally, a liaison office in Bangkok, Thailand, facilitates procurement, shipment follow-ups, and serves as a vital link between clients, Global Cynax headquarters, and suppliers. This well-integrated network ensures efficient customer service, rapid response times, and smooth product delivery across Bangladesh and beyond.
